Wu Jingui's Shanghai Shenhua Goal Records

Wu Jingui, the Chinese football legend who played for the Shanghai Shenhua team in the 1990s and is now known as a mentor to many young players, has passed away at the age of 76.

Wu Jingui was born on May 25, 1944, in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province. He began his career in China before moving to Japan to play with FC Tokyo in 1968.

In Japan, Wu Jingui quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming one of the most successful players in Japanese football history. He won numerous titles, including two J.League Cups, three Emperor's Cup championships, and five Japanese Football League (JFL) titles.

But it wasn't all success for Wu Jingui. He faced criticism for his controversial behavior off the pitch, particularly during matches where he would taunt opponents or take shots at fans. Despite this, he remained committed to the club and continued to perform well.

However, by the time he retired in 2004, Wu Jingui had become one of the greatest coaches in Chinese football history. He was known for his tactical approach and his ability to motivate his players to perform at their best.

Wu Jingui passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 22, 2022. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations of footballers, and he will be remembered as one of the most influential figures in Chinese football history.
